Cement rendering (or solid plastering) is the application of a mixture of sand, cement, lime and clay applied to brick or cement block, which is then screened flat, floated and sponged to your desired finish. It can then be textured to suit your needs or painted after application. It is generally used on exterior and interior walls.

Depending on the look you’re after, rendering can be fine or coarse, textured or smooth, natural or colored, pigmented or painted.

The cement rendering of brick or cement block has been used for centuries to improve the appearance and sometimes weather resistance of exterior walls. It is a wonderful way to improve the appeal and therefore value of your house.

Cement renders take five to six weeks before paining to allow for all of the moisture to dry from the walls.
